Bengaluru and Hyderabad IPL 2024 Highlights, Nawabs stole the points

On April 15, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) faced off at home. Bengaluru, who had only won once in their previous five games, chose to bowl first after winning the toss.
From the beginning, the T20 batting attack was ruthless. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma of Hyderabad put up a century-plus partnership. Head did not let the RCB bowlers rest as he hammered them, displaying a lethal temper. After SRH was dismissed for 34 off of 22 balls, they were 108/1 after 8.1 overs. The initial breakthrough for RCB came from Reece Topley.

Bowlers of Bengaluru had “Head” ache

However, it made little difference because Travis remained a “Head” ache for the bowlers in Bengaluru. In IPL 2024, he scored the fastest 100 runs and struck the most sixes (8) in an IPL innings. After David Miller (38 balls), Yusuf Pathan (37 balls), and Chris Gayle (30 balls), his 39-ball century is currently the fourth-highest in IPL history.
Lockie Fergusson removed Head (102 off 41 balls), but the RCB had little respite as Heinrich Klaasen came out to bat next and completed the job that Travis had begun. With two fours and seven sixes in his 31-ball score, he was removed by Fergusson.

Hyderabad amassed the highest-ever IPL total of 287/3, but Aiden Markram (32 off 17 balls) and Abdul Samad (37 off 10 balls) enabled SRH surpass their own record total of 277/3. In T20 cricket, this was also the second-highest total. Nepal’s record versus Mongolia is still 314/3.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis provided the squad a fast start, and RCB’s batting looked good. At 42 off 20 balls, Kohli looked threatening, but Mayank Markande clean bowled him. In 6.2 overs, RCB was 80/1. Unfortunately, Faf’s straight shot nicked Jaidev Unadkat’s fingertips and struck the stumps at the non-striker’s end, resulting in Will Jacks (7 off 4 balls) being run out.

Despite showing promise and hitting one six, Rajat Patidar was out for nine runs off of five balls rather quickly. Captain Faf never stopped hitting the ball so hard. Nevertheless, Pat Cummins of the SRH took his wicket. At 38 balls, Faf went for 62 runs. The next person out for a golden duck was Saurav Chauhan.
Dinesh Karthik was still the most productive hitter for RCB this season. Despite his heroic effort (83 from 35 balls), DK was unable to secure a victory since he had little assistance from the other end. Bengaluru lost the game by 25 runs despite managing to score 262/7 in 20 overs. They are still stuck at the bottom of the table of points.

Travis Head was named Player of the Match for his incredible ton. His violent mood is nothing new to Indian fans. He had, after all, stolen the World Cup trophy from the Men in Blue the previous year.
